Business Unit Overview
FBT (Fidelity Brokerage Technology) - provides a wide range of clearing and custody technology solutions for our Institutional & Intermediary business partners. Our team provides technology services in the area of development, maintenance, quality assurance and production support of mission critical brokerage applications. The FBT platform, we support is used by 300+ Correspondent banks/insurance-firms/broker-dealers, 3000+ Investment Advisors & UHNW Family Offices, 6 million institutional and 9 million retail accounts, 130+ Capital Market hedge fund clients, and is capable of handling over 1 million trades per day. The FBT India team is distributed across Chennai and Bangalore.
This is a leadership position that requires significant experience leading large teams, managing demanding stakeholders, complex operations and in-depth support practices preferably in the Asset Management domain.
Stability of platforms: Drive stability of mission critical applications for the Institutional Technology business which will include driving day to day operations, planning and delivering on stability projects, adhering and driving best in class support practices.
Planning and execution: Determine operational goals, create roadmap with milestone along with stakeholders, decision making and prioritization.
Stakeholders Communication /Management: Partner Engagement, participating in key decision making, Management Engagement, External team dependency, Senior Leadership updates, Status Reporting.
Collaboration: Engagement with international sites for improving service delivery, partnering for improving stability and implementing proactive measures for improved application availability.
Team Development: Develop skills and enhance the knowledge and capability of the team, provide opportunities for growth and learning, motivate and engage the team
Roles and Responsibilities
Solid experience of managing large teams and proven leadership capabilities
Ability to negotiate, influence and work with business peers and management.
Experience of working in support environment
Ability to develop and drive a strategy as per the needs of the team
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Capable of providing thought leadership and abstract thinking
Leads, guides, inspires, motivates and directs teams to achieve the business objectives

Ability to work effectively with both partners and project team members
Manage multiple stakeholders and negotiate well
This role will typically require 16+ years of experience
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Software, etc.) required
