Job Summary- Global Project Initiatives The Global PMO Manager coordinates the day-to-day operations of the IT project and program management activities and is responsible for leading teams, directly and indirectly, to deliver IT initiatives. Manages the maintenance of standards and methodologies for project management to ensure projects are budgeted, defined, tracked, and executed in a consistent and effective way that will maximize project success and drive business growth. Monitors and reports status, performance, and financial metrics for assigned projects based on criteria established. Manages continuous improvement and process optimization processes to regularly identify the aspects that need improvement.

Assures that the planning functions and governance processes are designed, monitored, and executed in the spirit of simplicity and rapid decision making . Principal Duties and Responsibilities Define, manage and execute a multi-year supply chain planning IT capabilities roadmap. • Lead the delivery of large-scale, high-value projects within an established delivery methodology. • Recruit, develop, and retain IT managers and individual contributors; sponsors and facilitate career/professional development of IT talent.

  • Work within cross-functional teams (Operations areas, IT, PMO) to drive successful deployments. • Direct all activities of IT support for Global Operations Planning functions. Expected Areas of Competence • Strong understanding of operations planning business processes and related IT applications, infrastructure and respective support. • Ability to build positive relationships across multiple stakeholders: senior leadership team, department heads, line supervisors etc.
  • Ability to communicate with positive impact: excellent team leadership, business partnership, negotiation, etc. • Clear and agile thinking and analysis that leads to win‐win and innovative solutions while delivering on‐time and on budget Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field with 7+ years of relevant work experience. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES 8+ years experience in developing and implementing change management strategies, ideally across global organizations • Demonstrated program management experience • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong influencing and negotiation skills • Experience with real estate and workplace projects is preferred • Strong sense of urgency and a high level of problem solving skills in an ambiguous environment. • Change management certification preferred • Experienced working with matrixed teams a plus • Strong sense of accountability and ownership • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites COMMUNICATION SKILLS Very strong communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
A successful candidate should be able to communicate complex concepts simply across multiple levels of stakeholders. Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills are a requirement. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. REASONING ABILITY This position requires a high degree of intuition and empathy and the ability to identify core behavioral, leadership and competency issue and solutions.

A successful candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITY Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.

Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behavious that are consistent with the company’s values.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Errors in judgement may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department, and/or line of business.
