Job Description-Technical Writer + Quality Role

Business Analyst - HRSD Process Excellence Team – Mumbai, INDIA

Position Description:

In this position, the individual p artner with operational team in preparing the documentation (SIPOC, Process Map and SOP) and also identify areas for operational improvements for implementing process improvement initiatives in close assistance with HRSD APAC Process Excellence Team.

Job Responsibilities:

Expected Technical Writer Trait

  • Should have excellent and current (modern rather than ornate) English speaking and writing skills and general business communication skills.
  • Must have experience in Technical Writing for operational processes.
  • Should have strong editing skills and must have the ability to write in clear and concise manner.
  • Must have familiarity with standard documentation practices
  • Should have the ability to create documentation using RoboHelp, MS Word and MS Visio.
  • Must have the ability to understand and interpret user Requirements.
  • The role would involve coordination and mentoring with multiple operational teams.
  • Needs to have the ability to work both independently on initiative launched by team.
Expected Quality Trait
  • Facilitate training & certification of Six Sigma White belt and Yellow belt
  • Ensure processes-design and measures based on customer requirements as well as keeping in mind financial objectives and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Facilitate Lean Six Sigma Projects and drive Process re-engineering
  • Achieve high employee engagement in quality initiatives
  • Promoting cross-functional & cross-business transfer of best practices
  • Drive Employee engagement through Kaizen and other improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate with minimum 2+ years of recent experience in Quality, Controls, Documentations and project Management front
  • Formal training or experience in Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean techniques and/or technical writing front
  • 1-2 years of technical writing experience
  • Superior time management allowing for optimal engagement management, maintaining composure in highly competitive situations.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions, with consideration for all downstream implications
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment both in a team and individually
  • Experience with managing, manipulating, and analyzing large amounts of data
  • Strong technical acumen; a quick learner in regards to third party applications
  • Have proficient knowledge and experience with the Microsoft suite of products

Desired Qualifications:
  • Possess knowledge in accounting, payroll, finance, and/or economics a plus.
  • Project Management training preferred
  • Recent experience in HR or Customer Service Organization
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of Outlook, Access, SharePoint, Business Objects etc.
