The candidate will be supporting design activity for complex to moderate systems or subsystems and components for electric/gas powered golf, utility, off road and Ground support equipments, Core designing involved Sheet metal and casting structures, mechanism, Plastic parts and preparation of Prototyping and test plans. The candidate with basic knowledge of Mechanical design, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and good exposure to CAD system will have added advantage.
Creates, revises and releases engineering documents, while ensuring accuracy and completeness of work.
Prepares Engineering change records and documents.
Creates complex CAD models from sketches and/or layout geometry.
Proficient with creating complex body and interior surfaces in plastic parts, manufactured with injection mold, thermoform, blow-mold etc. processes.
Proficient with building and maintaining large assemblies
Ability to utilize CAD functionality to check clearances between moving parts, such as suspension/steering components etc.
Works with outside suppliers to develop new components and systems.
Works interactively with other departments within company to achieve goals.
Is able to plan work and estimate time required to complete tasks in order to achieve project timing goals.
Develops and utilizes DFMEAs for components and assemblies.
Develops design packaging layouts and performs tolerance studies of components and assemblies
Incorporates Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) on Engineering Drawings.
Performs Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) assessments of components & assemblies.
Proficient with NX or Autodesk Inventor preferred.
Teamcenter experience is preferred
