The Product Marketing Manager shall have the ownership of identified product line/s in the Cockpit Systems GBE and shall be responsible for product life cycle financial performance (Profit & Loss). The individual shall work very closely with customers, business and functional teams to drive product roadmap execution and growth plans for new products and new market applications aligned to product & business strategies.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
 Owns and manages product life cycle financial performance (profit and loss)
 Develop and execute strategic plans, product plans, including cost and growth strategies
 Develop and execute integrated product, technology, and environment roadmaps
 Interfaces with customer as a product champion, defines value propositions based on customer needs analysis and incorporates into value proposition/go to market strategies
 Collaborates with the Customer Business Teams to perform product voice of the customer
 Develop and understand customer total cost of ownership
 Approves all product line financial analysis in accordance with product line roadmaps/strategies. Determines and approves pricing inputs for all financial analysis, value pricing, pricing strategy and catalogue publications
 Owns product prioritization and manages product RDE (Research Development & Engineering) funds to effectively manage product roadmaps
 Develop & execute unit product cost reduction strategies
 Drives and owns SKU management reduction, addresses excess and obsolete SKUs.
 Leads Product Action Committee related to area of responsibility - to drive cross functional product strategy execution
 Align resources for product strategy deployment for product line execution- including capital, RD&E, recovery, and technical capabilities (engineering and manufacturing)
 Is responsible for overall product performance and integrity

Basic Qualifications:
 Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Equivalent (MBA from top tier school highly desirable)
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computers, Electronics or Electrical)
12 Years of overall experience
Product Management experience, with ownership of product life cycle financial performance (Profit & Loss)- Preferred
 Clear understanding/experience of managing high technology products from inception through sunset
 Additional experience in Business Development and Sales is preferred
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a highly matrixed organization
 Ability to travel 25%

Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience managing products larger than $5 million annual turnover, with profit/loss accountability
 Excellent customer skills to develop customer relationships. Experience working with Airlines customers or MRO’s is preferred
 Experience in managing product RDE (Research Development & Engineering) funds to manage product roadmaps, developing and executing strategy and growth plans for new products and new market applications
 Experience with delivering successful results on large distributed systems inclusive of significant software development
 Knowledge and experience in crafting Business Models and developing robust Business Plans
 Knowledge of marketing processes, principles, tools & deliverables (Annual operating plan, Strategic plan, Marketing requirements)
 Ability to collaborate with functions (Engineering, ISC, C&PS, Contracts, Sales, Marketing communication and Strategic marketing) to execute product plans and roadmaps
 Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development teams
 Strong analytical and financial skills, ability to balance strategic orientation and bias for action
 Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, public speaking)
 Excellent Negotiation skills with customer and internal stakeholders
 Knowledge of Aerospace business allowing for innovative concepts and promotion of new ideas is desirable
