EI India plays a key role in global workforce augmentation and supports all the EI verticals, including 24X7 operations in some areas. The team’s endeavour has been to provide increased value to our partners through operational excellence and innovation with a focus on stability.
As the Middleware Service Delivery team within Web Services, we support both open source and commercial products such as WebSphere, MQ, Apache, Tomcat, Drupal, and IIS. Our team serves Fidelity’s operations teams, application support teams, and developers by providing middleware infrastructure builds for their business applications. The team provides services such as middleware build packages, automation, configuration, on call, and proof of concepts to on board new technologies. The candidate should have strong scripting, problem solving skills, debugging, and technical knowledge in the middleware family of products.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strong in Websphere Application Server (WAS), IBM Messaging Queue (MQ) and Architectural Patterns.
Strong in WAS skills like Installation, Migrations, Clustering, High availability, SSL, AMS.
Knowledge of WAS Monitoring.
Will be involved in building out new web and application server environments as well as migration projects for servers hosting our applications.
Triaging incidents with emphasis on arriving at accurate root cause analysis and impact analysis
Maintaining availability of Environments and sending availability notifications to stakeholders
Implementation of changes in Production infrastructure
Deployment of regular application builds in Production and Test Environments
Express ideas and thoughts to peers and management
Work with vendors to to resolve issues.
Participate appropriately in team meetings
Good team player
Middleware skills – Websphere Application Server (WAS)
Messaging Queue (MQ) is preferable.
Unix knowledge on one or more of these flavours – Linux, Solaris, AIX
Usage of monitoring tools such as Sites cope, Coradiant, Gomez, Splunk
Excellent knowledge of load balancing systems such as BigIP, 3DNS
Knowledge of Network Basics
Knowledge of Production Support policies such as Incident, Change and Problem Management
Unix and Shell scripting and automation exposer.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with India and onsite partner teams
Must be able to act as a team player as well as work independently
Must be a quick learner and adapt to new tools and technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an advanced program certificate
5+ years of technical experience in support of commercial and open source middleware technologies.
